The Slimhole Full-Wave Triple Sonic FWS60sonde is a compact tool that can be operated and by a single operator andintended for geotechnical and mining applications. Its rigid constructionprovides an effective centering inside the hole.
The piezoelectric transmitter is stimulatedby a high voltage pulse and radiates high frequency acoustic waves through theborehole fluid and formation up to each receiver.
The sonde records the ful-wave train fromthree receivers simultaneously and these waveform data may be exported tointerpretation software such as WellCad for calculation of compressional, shearand Stoneley velocities.

4. Focused ElectricSonde GUIP38
The Focused Electric GUIP38 sonde measuresresistivity with an excellentvertical resolution and depth of investigation.
The sonde includes a central current-sourceelectrode placed between twoguard electrodes, maintained at the samepotential.Current from the central electrode is constrained to a thin disk bythe presence of the two guard electrodes and returns to the cable armor above a10-meter insulated section. The central electrode potential with respect to asurface voltage reference and the measured current are combined by the sondeprocessor to calculate the apparent formation resistivity.

5. MagneticSusceptibility Probe MS42
The Magnetic-Susceptibility MS42 sonde is anew development of the industry-standard Bartington Instrument BSS02 product.
It’s a low-frequencydevice specifically designed for mining applications showing outstandingstability against pressure and temperature variations.
This sonde relies on a similar principle tothe induction sonde where a current is induced by an oscillating magnetic fieldin the sonde within a toroidal zone offormation at some radial distance from the sonde coils. The oscillating currentproduces a secondary field which is detected by the receiver coils. The “in-phase” signal is a measurement of thesusceptibility of formations having magnetic properties.
The Magnetic-Susceptibility MS42 sonde mainfeatures are:
